In 2023, 86 nurses from eight hospitals (five public, three private) completed a self-administered questionnaire. The survey measured the impact of eight independent variables – pay, promotion, job security, working conditions, job autonomy, coworker relationships, supervisor relationships, and nature of work – on a single-item measure of overall job satisfaction. Statistical analysis was used to determine the relationships between these variables. Notably, nurses in public hospitals reported higher overall satisfaction than those in private hospitals. These variables consistently demonstrated a positive correlation with overall job satisfaction across both public and private hospital settings.
2025-05-09T14:51:49+00:00 ##submission.copyrightStatement## http://www.ojs.labora.ac.id/index.php/bisnis/article/view/122 IMPACT OF MACROECONOMIC VARIABES ON THE PERFORMANCE OF THE NEPAL STOCK MARKET: EMPERICAL ANALYSIS USING THE VEC MODEL 2025-05-09T15:31:25+00:00 Krishna Bahadur Thapa krishna.thapa@ncc.tu.edu.np Madan Kandel kandelmadan15@gmail.com Bhupendra Junng Shahi bhupendras@ncc.edu.np
The Stock Exchange plays a vital role for generating, investing, and growing the wealth and diversify portfolios. This study investigates the influence of macroeconomic variables on the Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) performance, focusing on the lending interest rate (LIR), money supply (MS), and liquidity (LIQ). The objective of this research is to assess the long-run cointegration, evaluate the short-run dynamics and error correction, and conduct Granger causality tests to identify causal linkage. This study employs the vector error correction (VEC) model to analyze the determinants of the Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index from January 2005 to December 2024, utilizing 203 observations with the required lags. The study finds that there is a significant long-term relationship between NEPSE and MS, and a negative impact from liquidity. The results suggest that MS and LIQ exhibit significant effects on NEPSE, whereas LIR does not show a substantial long-term relationship. In the short-term, the study identifies weak short-term adjustments for LIR and LIQ but significant autoregressive effects for MS and NEPSE. Additionally, the Granger Causality Test reveals that money supply and liquidity have predictive power for NEPSE, with one-way causal relationships from MS and LIQ to NEPSE.
2025-05-09T14:58:25+00:00 ##submission.copyrightStatement## http://www.ojs.labora.ac.id/index.php/bisnis/article/view/123 Leadership in Action: Cultivating School Culture for Success 2025-05-09T15:31:26+00:00 Yashodhara Pant yashodhara.pant@tucded.edu.np Rabindra Shiwakoti rabindra2028@gmail.com
This study investigates the dynamic relationship between leadership and school culture, focusing on their impact on student achievement and well-being. Using a qualitative research approach, the study analyzes data from three Kathmandu-based community schools, supplemented by international research, to identify the leadership strategies that foster a positive school culture. The findings highlight that effective leadership—characterized by a shared vision, clear communication, and the integration of social-emotional learning—significantly enhances academic performance, reduces absenteeism, and improves students’ mental health. However, challenges such as limited teacher engagement, resource constraints, and societal expectations persist. To address these issues, the study suggests targeted professional development, stronger community partnerships, and the adoption of evidence-based leadership practices.

The research concludes that leadership is a decisive factor in shaping a school’s culture and directly influences student success. Schools that prioritize collaborative leadership, inclusive decision-making, and professional learning communities create environments where both students and teachers thrive. Policy implications emphasize the need for educational policies that support leadership training, equitable resource distribution, and systemic efforts to enhance school culture. By implementing these strategies, schools can cultivate resilient, inclusive, and high-performing learning environments that contribute to both academic excellence and holistic student development.
2025-05-09T15:02:06+00:00 ##submission.copyrightStatement## http://www.ojs.labora.ac.id/index.php/bisnis/article/view/124 FACTORS DETERMINING INTENTION TO USE DIGITAL WALLET IN NEPAL 2025-05-09T15:31:26+00:00 Ballav Niroula ballav.niroula@pmc.tu.edu.np Sapana Vaidya sapanavaidya21@gmail.com
This research aims to identify the determining factors that significantly affect the intention to use a digital wallet. A structured questionnaire was prepared which was sent through the printed form as well as through Google form to 365 respondents where 340 were used. The data were collected through a five-point Likert scale, with participants selecting a non-probability sampling technique using purposive sampling. The descriptive analysis shows that e-Sewa and Khalti are the most popular digital wallet services. The adoption of the digital wallet is the highest in male users between the ages of 21 to 30 years. Among the all variables perceived ease of use and intention to use of digital wallet have the highest positive correlation 0.736, whereas service quality and intention to use of digital wallet have the least positive correlation 0.262. The results of the regression analysis, the intention to use digital wallets is significantly predicted by perceived usefulness (PU) and ease of use (PE), both of which have favorable effects. However, information quality (IQ), system quality (SQ), and service quality (SQ) do not substantially affect the intention to use as their p-values are higher than 0.05. A summary of the study's useful implications for businesses, governments, and digital wallet service providers. Therefore, digital wallet companies must focus on continuously enhancing these aspects to positively influence the intention to use a digital wallet.
2025-05-09T15:04:55+00:00 ##submission.copyrightStatement## http://www.ojs.labora.ac.id/index.php/bisnis/article/view/125 Archaeological Importance of Upper Mustang: The Mud Kingdom of Nepal 2025-05-09T15:31:26+00:00 Gokarna Gyanwali gokarna256@gmail.com
Upper Mustang, the forbidden kingdom of Nepal has a virgin Tibetan culture, has more than 10,000 man-made caves and stupas, and various archaeological sites dating back up to 3,000 years. Unique paintings, sculptures, manuscripts, and three-millennia-old human remains have been found in these areas. The study shows that these caves were used for shelter and meditation. It has a unique history, culture, language, people, and landscape. Without knowing the Upper Mustang, we cannot know the historical reality of Nepal. The state receives payment for public lands and forests, whereas landowners receive compensation for private land directly. The dual compensation system substantially raises the overall investment needed for development projects. In addition, the lengthy land acquisition procedure frequently causes project implementation delays, which affects both the efficiency and timeliness of development projects. This paper aims to find out the forest land compensation process, compensation amount, and timeline for land acquisition of the ICP/ICD, an important infrastructure development project in Dodhara-Chandani MP, Kanchanpur, Far West Province, Nepal. It only analyzes the physical compensation, the legal frameworks requisite for forest land acquisition and, the allied procedures involved in with the estimation of compensation costs and pricing for the Dodhara-Chandani ICP/ICD development project. It is based on the document analysis method like laws, policies, official documents, and records. Data was collected through consultations with authorities and interviews with related government officials. Due to the long process and long period, there has been a delay in the implementation of the project. The implementation process has not started yet. Therefore, it can be argued that the state itself has become an obstacle to the development and construction works that the state should do.
2025-05-09T15:16:47+00:00 ##submission.copyrightStatement##
